Michele Fil

Registered Patent Agent

Michele S. Fil is a registered patent agent for Talem IP Law and works with the Patent Team to draft and prosecute patent applications. Michele works with her clients through the entire patenting process by initially discussing and evaluating the patentability of innovations, working with the inventors to draft the patent application and then prosecuting the patent applications with the USPTO until the invention issues as a patent. Her subject expertise includes fields of energy, service, manufacturing, electronics, software, and medical devices.   Michele previously worked as a patent agent at a large corporation that specializes in gas turbine technology, repair processes, high temperature materials, and sustainable energy technologies including wind, solar, and energy storage. Prior to becoming a patent agent, Michele worked as a software engineer and as a math teacher.

Michele is passionate about increasing the diversity of inventors in the patenting process, both here in the U.S. and globally. She was an ambassador for Inclusion and Diversity at her previous company, Siemens Energy, and has contributed to writings on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion topics for the Intellectual Property Organization (IPO).

In her free time, Michele enjoys reading, running, and hiking. She also loves to ski and listen to music.
