Brian Buchheit

Registered Patent Attorney

Brian Buchheit is an experienced patent attorney and Air Force veteran with a passion for technology innovations.  Brian specializes in patent preparation and prosecution.  Brian seeks societal advancement through applied technology, seeing his role as helping to describe and protect the fascinating ideas of others. Brian is versed in patents, contracts, trademarks, governmental compliance, and issues related to corporate governance. Brian has led efforts to harvest patents and other intellectual property (IP) and to increase company valuations via substantial IP portfolios.  Brian’s main technology specializations include computers, telecommunications, databases, payment systems, electronics, artificial intelligence, blockchain, software, and medical devices.

Brian, who remains grateful for his time in the Air Force, is inspired by the sacrifices made of those who serve in the military, which includes his closest friends.  During COVID, Brian leveraged his technological and legal expertise in large scale efforts to provide N-95 respirators, and other personal medical equipment including innovative ones to those suffering from the pandemic. Brian strongly supports efforts to advance youth Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) knowledge, especially those targeting women, whose presence in these fields is not nearly prevalent enough.

Brian is a proud father of two teenage girls, who are currently seeking engineering undergraduate degrees with aspirations towards veterinary and medical school.  His fondest desire is to leave the world a slightly better place for his children with whom he has been blessed.  Brian constantly seeks new experiences and learning opportunities that make a positive difference, however small, in the world.

Brian likes chess, reading, and is fond of children and animals.
