Talem IP Law is proud to announce its establishment in January 2015. Sarah Knight and Wendy Zimbone join forces to launch Gainesville, Florida’s first women-owned intellectual property (IP) law firm. Bringing together over twenty five years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution, engineering, business, and licensing, they bring a pioneering approach to empowering clients with IP.
Sarah Knight brings to Talem her experience in patent preparation and prosecution for many clients large and small. She represents large global corporations, universities, small to mid-size companies and startups. Her practice also involves conducting opinion and diligence work in technology areas spanning from semiconductors to software. Sarah also is involved in counseling clients with respect to patent portfolio generation, management, and strategy for US and international protection.
Wendy Zimbone specializes in IP licensing, IP strategy, and contract negotiations. She joins Talem from the University of Florida where she was the Assistant Director of Engineering and Software Licensing, managing approximately 400 intellectual property cases, an extensive patent budget, and negotiated dozens of license agreements each year. Her practice is focused on the importance of intellectual property in overall business strategy, licensing, and technology commercialization.
Talem IP Law is a comprehensive IP solution in the fields of semiconductors, engineering, and software. The firm is excited about future opportunities to work with new clients and the privilege of continuing to support and empower current clients.
